Standard format for exchange and storage of multisignal biological time series

EDF (European Data Format) was developed in 1991 by the task group on Signal Analysis, which operated within the European Concerted Action on "Methodology for the Analysis of the Sleep-Wakefulness Continuum", and published in 1992.
